Bump Charging

saran dari salah satu orang HTC
Bump charging recommended for high-end devices like HTC EVO 3D, Sensation

Short of disabling notification, turning down screen brightness and even buying extended battery packs, is another solution called bump charging.

Now bump charging isn't a whole new concept and in fact was recommended for the HTC Evo 4G when it first came out. However with the recent issues with the HTC Thunderbolt and its poor battery life, this little tip will no doubt come in handy for many future big-screened Androids (HTC EVO 3D and Sensation) and may let you continue surfing and streaming without having to run to a charging port by late afternoon.

"To also help with Battery Life you can do these steps exactly: 1) Turn your device ON and Charge the device for 8 hours or more 2) Unplug the device and Turn the phone OFF and charge for 1 hour 3) Unplug the device Turn ON wait 2 minutes and Turn OFF and charge for another hour Your battery life should almost double, we have tested this on our devices and other agents have seen a major difference as well." - HTC Support's advice to an XDA Developer forum member.

This will reportedly increase your battery life two fold however in my test with the HTC Thunderbolt, I saw 14 hours usage which still isn't bad compared to the 9 hours I was previously obtaining.

As expected, this should work with just about any battery squeezing HTC Android so if you have other mammoth Android like the HTC Inspire 4G (HTC Desire HD) an HTC HD2, do give it a try!
